EastEnders' Gray Atkins Drops Huge Bombshell

"there is a reason the way he is and it stems from a lot of toxic influence we will go on to explore"

Finally attending his therapy sessions, Gray Atkins will finally admit to the therapist that he has been violently abusive to his wife, Chantelle.

In upcoming emotional scenes, Gray reveals all leaving his wife shocked, but Chantelle will be left gobsmacked when the truth about his past is revealed.

EastEnders are of courser keeping tight lipped over what the secret is, but Toby-Alexander Smith, who plays Gray, revealed to The Mirror: “It’s very difficult for me to identify with the character but I have to find ways of doing that and finding that humanity in gray because he is very layered.

“He isn’t just that monster, there is a reason the way he is and it stems from a lot of toxic influence we will go on to explore. “It’s very much the Jekyll and Hyde kind of role which is great to play because of that juxtaposition of good and bad, which is great to play.” he continued.

“The minute something slips off kilter, that’s what gets him. He panics. There’s a very insecure side to Gray and it’s a fear of losing the things he needs around him.”

Currently Chantelle is standing up to her husband, this is something that has left Gray feeling like he's losing everything, but as we've seen in the past, Gray seems to return to his abusive ways as soon as Chantelle forgives him.

Are things about to change?
