EastEnders' Davood Talks Kush's Lockdown with the Slaters and SFTQ Preview

"He must be going mad three months in. You can't even imagine, that poor guy."

We're only weeks away from finding out how the residents of lockdown have coped during lockdown, but actor Davood Ghadami feels Kush has had a practically tough time in a house full of Slater women.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Davood said: "Having to live with the Slaters – that's a busy house for a guy that wants to just get out every now and again. He must be going mad three months in. You can't even imagine, that poor guy.

"He'd probably volunteer to do the shopping, to take the bins out, do anything just to get out of there. It will be very telling to see how he comes back, to see how he's coped or if he has coped."

Davood is now excited to get back to work and see what's next for Kush: "On a personal level, I'm really looking forward to getting back around my friends and colleagues. And also being able to see where the storylines go from here, how the people of Walford live in the new world, and how the storylines pick up from where we left off.

"It's all a very intriguing time, almost to reset what Walford is and how the characters interact and relate.

"I get to sit in my dressing room opposite James Bye's dressing room, with our doors open – more than two metres apart of course – and just have a chat, so getting back to some kind of normal and extracurricular interactions will be great."

Tomorrow night's EastEnders: Secrets from the Square hosted by Stacey Dooley, will see James and Davood reunited with close friend James Byer, who plays Martin, as the pair talk about their first time on EastEnders.

EastEnders: Secrets from the Square airs Monday on BBC One.
